The Open Court Reading Program stresses the importance of reading aloud and building comprehension. We take pride in knowing that 90% of our students are reading when they start kindergarten.

Our exclusive program includes:

PROBLEM SOLVING
Children learn to work together, sorting, matching, and manipulating various toys while learning to develop hand-eye coordination and math skills.

TUMBLING/MOVEMENT
Balancing, jumping and tumbling will develop your child's muscles and coordination.

ART & COMPUTER STATION
Through a variety of art and technology, children learn to use self expression and critical thinking skills. Creative stimulations assist in building reading and math skills.

KELLY PRICE (Principal/Director)

Kelly Price (Principal/Director) has been running Stepping Ahead Preschool in Riverton for several years.  Kelly has worked in the Jordan School District for many years with the Special Education program, as well as many other student programs.  Kelly also worked for 18 years with the youth, ages 3-18 in a variety of capacities and is a specialist in her field.

DEBI BABINSKI

Debi is currently a Certified Instructor for “Kids Fit” and has a degree from Jordan Tech. Her hobbies include playing softball, running, watching movies, and supporting her husband, while coaching numerous sports. Her greatest passion, is working with the children and finds joy in their success in learning.

CELESTE CASEY

Celeste Casey has been teaching preschool for over 7 years. Her experience includes several well-respected schools in Utah where she discovered her love for influencing young minds.  Celeste is very creative and outgoing and has a passion for teaching and working with small children.

MELISSA DALE

Melissa is an active mother of two.  She worked several years in community nursing services before she decided to follow her passion and work with children.  Using the tools and program of Stepping Ahead Preschool, Melissa is committed to get her students ready to step into Kindergarten. 

STACEY KENWORTHY

Stacey is a graduate from Utah State University with a Bachelor in Social Work.  She works as a Family Readiness Group Leader for the Utah National Guard.  Stacey loves to teach and share her talents with children and prepare them for Kindergarten.
